"And
Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking
back, is fit for the kingdom of God." - Luke 9:62
God
rewards Kingdom finishers not starters. Starting a race doesn't make you a
winner. Today, many starters are now quitters. They fail to endure the tough
times. The reality is that winners don't quit and quitters don't win.
Apostle
Paul was a good finisher who diligently fought the good fight of faith. He ran
with passion without relenting. He was persistent till he got to the mark for
the prize of the high calling to which he was called.
Are
you contemplating quitting the Kingdom assignment? God doesn't delight in
turning or looking back once you begin the glorious journey with Him. Lot's
wife looked back in disobedience and became a waste. Demas, one of Apostle
Paul's companions, turned back and became a misfit for the Kingdom.
Don't
allow another man take your crown by neglecting the glorious cause of Christ.
Make up your mind not to give up or turn back.
Perhaps,
you are yet to be identified with Christ, decide to be a good starter and wise
finisher. Believe the Lord Jesus died for you and begin to walk tirelessly on
the highway of holiness, till the Master says welcome.
I
pray that as you journey with the Lord, your strength will not diminish. You
shall run and not be weary; and walk and not faint, in Jesus name.
