THE PREPARED BRIDE

Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.” - Rev 19:7 (Amp)

Every wedding party is preceded by preparation. No bride wakes up overnight to attend a banquet prepared in honour of her. Someone must have prepared the banquet, most likely the bridegroom. Every child of God is a bride of God. You are either a bride of God or a pride of the devil. God is mindful of His bride. This propelled the ascension of Jesus to go and prepare a place of eternal habitation for them. The devil also takes pride in his hosts. That is why the devil expends more time to boast of his own company and beautifies them with garments of light in disguise of their real identity.

As a Christian, you are the Lord’s bride while He is the Bridegroom. A true bride of the Lord must understand that (1) The Bridegroom has gone to prepare a wedding banquet for her (2) She must live in expectancy and watchfulness of her Bridegroom (3) She must have enough oil in her lamp in readiness for the arrival of her Bridegroom, who will take her Home as a member of the glorious church (4) Failure to join the Bridegroom on His arrival amounts to a miserable waste of service and time on earth while occupying for her Bridegroom.

Are you a bride of God or pride of the devil? If a bride of God, are you prepared for the arrival of the Bridegroom? Jesus is the Bridegroom. Certainly, He’s going to return with a shout, with the voice of the arch-angel and with the trumpet of God. If not a bride of God, why not surrender to Him, for the salvation of your soul. May you not be caught unawares of the Lord’s glorious return to harvest His saints from the face of the earth, ahead of the Great Tribulation, in Jesus name.
