“…for by strength shall no man prevail.” – I Samuel 2:9
Man is limited in strength and could only stretch himself within a defined space. Inasmuch as it is recommendable to put up a gallant front against the enemy, you must know that confidence in your physical strength will be of no effect in actualizing your dream and hope of victory. The devil is never conquered on muscular strength but through the formidable weapons of warfare of true believers in Christ.
Your effort may get drained if not renewed through continuous greasing by the Holy Spirit. Determination combined with effort without the wisdom of God could yield the disheartening harvest of frustration. Therefore, success, career, ministry and all other endeavours in life doesn’t always come by much labour.
When your confidence is screwed and fastened to your limited human strength, the impact and role of God is belittled and not cherished. The moment God is not at the center of your pursuit for success and victory over failure and the works of the enemy, your strength will be greeted with frustration. Many misappropriate the glory of their success to their strength and were left with unanswered questions of why they could not experience a repetition and replay of yesterday’s success.
Once you realize that it’s not about you, your confidence will be tuned towards expression of dependence on God, which will yield you the rewarding harvest of overflowing grace for repetitive and galloping successes in all your endeavours. Therefore, I pray your heart keep trusting in the name of the Lord, as your disconnect from ascribing glory to your limited human strength in Jesus name
