PURSUE YOUR GOALS

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling up upward.” – Phil 3:14

Every accomplished runner is a proactive personality who looks beyond the present in pursuit of an enviable future and the dizzy heights of stardom. He identifies the right roadmap to achieve his desired goals, prepares ahead of time and denies himself of pleasure that will impede his chance of victory. Before you begin the race to your destination, you need to understand there are roadmaps to reaching your goals. Because a race without a roadmap is like a marathon into the wilderness instead of an adventure into a fulfilling destiny.

Most people don’t seem to have goals to set them on the move. Many hit the road without a sense of direction for their lives. They choose to live an average life and occupy their comfort zones. You will never be able to measure the milestones in your life if you are not driven by goals, vision and passion for excellence. So a man who has identified the prospective landmarks he desires to attain will run with passion in his pursuit to reach for the stars.

Goals give you the impetus to embrace fulfillment over an average life. Apostle Paul remained dauntless, resolute and imperturbable in the face of the terror and persecutions that would have impaired his hope of reaching his divine destination. So you need to understand that in reaching your goals, you have to combat with very interjection and dislocation that could get you disenchanted with the pursuit of your goals. But with a relentless spirit, you can keep pursuing your goals and setting new goals for new accomplishments. May the Lord strengthen your heart never to be weary in pursuing your goals and may He cause you to attain your goals faster than you could imagine in Jesus name.
