“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being
from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” – II Cor. 3:5
God doesn’t operate a black market knowing that He has created all
things beautifully and bountifully. So there is no scarcity with God. The whole
world is under His purview and He doesn’t get overwhelmed meeting the needs of
His creatures. Whenever God wants to rain, He sends it in abundance. You cannot
file a complaint of emptiness with God and see His hands of generosity. People
that saw the generous and giant move of God’s providence had faith in the
ability of God to provide and supply what is lacking in their lives.
Though God is in earnest need of true worshippers for His nourishment
and in recognition and appreciation of His awesomeness, yet if He were hungry,
our delay and slothfulness will not cause Him starvation. Because God is
all-sufficient in power, He doesn’t get intimated by challenges and mountains.
His all-sufficiency in wealth doesn’t make Him to file application for
financial assistance. He rather supplies the financial need of man from any
source He pleases. God created no room for the financial impotence or mockery
of Jesus and Peter in paying the tax levied on them. He used the fish in the
water to dish out the required fund to enable them exercise their statutory
responsibility.
The sufficiency of God in wisdom, knowledge and understanding makes Him
a reliable and dependable Reservoir to draw inspiration and sound wisdom. If
you lack wisdom and you don’t make God your first point of call, you will be vulnerable
to the diluted and distorted wisdom of man. Man can misguide and misdirect your
life through counsels that are disproportionate to the direction of God for
your life.
If God will demonstrate His sufficiency in your life, you must
acknowledge your emptiness and recognise the mightiness of God to terminate
what is lacking or inadequate in your life. I pray everything you need for your
joy to be complete and come in by leaps and bounds will reach you in an
overflowing measure in Jesus name. Amen.
