The redemption of mankind wouldn't have been made possible without a sacrifice. The Bible says that without the shedding of the blood there is no forgiveness of sin. This requirement necessitated the killing of bulls for the cleansing and remission of sins in the old testament.
Unfortunately, the blood of bulls is not sufficient and potent enough to give us assurance of absolute purification of our souls. Therefore, Jesus offered up Himself as a sacrificial Lamb whose precious and inestimable blood perfected the purifying of our souls from the works of darkness. It is on account of this cleansing that we have access to God, recess from the guilt of sin and the grace to possess our possessions.
Knowing that Jesus had paid the penalty of sin for us, we have a rewarding identity in Christ that confers on us a royal status and makes us a holy nation. I pray the blood of the Lamb sanctify your body, soul and spirit and preserve you blameness till Christ shall return for His saints, in Jesus name.
