Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hands to the plough and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of God – Luke 9:62
In the nature of things, a farmer who wants to reap at harvest time must be ready to plough his field for the desired harvest. So, if you want to achieve great result, you must be ready to put your hands to the plough. Most people set out with great ideas but allowed their ideas to wither on the vine; they were unable to nurture their dreams into reality.
When you get distracted and keep your eyes off the ball, you may have reasons to count your losses instead of reaping your desired harvest. Once you put your hands to the plough, it only makes a horse sense to keep your eyes on the big picture. When some of the early Disciples of Christ put paid to their work with Jesus, Peter rather saw the big picture that Christ is the Son of the Living God and chose to cleave to Him all the way.
Are you allowing the world system to distract and disrupt your focus on the Kingdom of God? You need to be on your toes, lest you allow the chief foe of the righteous, the devil, to make you a figure of fun. May you not find reasons to jettison your love and work with God, as you pursue your personal goals alongside the ultimate goal of making heaven, in Jesus name.
