THE LAW OF ADDITION

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance… - 2 Peter 1:5-7

People that make impact in life often package themselves with the values and virtues that make them resourceful and relevant to their world. If you don’t make conscious effort to improve yourself, you will be unable to add value to people and make positive impact.

It is quite unfortunate that most Christians lay back after their salvation experience. They become complacent as nominal Christians without a corresponding display of the power of God and the fruit of the Spirit. It is unwise to choose to be stagnant when you can build up yourself to become a spiritual giant that the devil will tremble at.

The Law of Addition states that you cannot make positive impact in life until you add and enrich yourself with the virtues and values that will make you resourceful and relevant to your world. Therefore, as a child of God, in addition to your faith, you should seek to add virtue, sound knowledge of the Scripture, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love to your spirit-man.  May you find the hunger and passion to enrich yourself with godly virtues and treasure that will make you a world changer and a light to many generations in Jesus name.
