KEEPING YOUR EYE ON THE BALL

I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward – Phil. 3:14

Identifying your selling point and traits that bring out your uniqueness is highly essential to living a purposeful life. Subsequent to your discovery, keeping your eye on the ball is equally pivotal to realizing and maximizing your potential. Your goals may require you to juggle between two or more tasks. However, you must ensure that you are not bogged down with extraneous tasks that have no bearing with your vision and mission in life.

It is unhealthy to spread yourself too thin by taking up tasks and projects that will drain your energy without paying big dividends. You can’t afford to muster all your effort to pursue multiple tasks without having a sense of direction. Instead of converging on what is major in their lives and cut to the chase, some people choose to run off on all directions. A man whose mission in life is to pursue everything that life throws at him will wind up as a jack of all trades.

The power of focus is evident in helping you to stay on track without be sidetracked. You can measure your progress and evaluate your performance when you focus on what plays major role in actualizing your dream. By focusing on what you do well, you will be able to keep your finger on the pulse of your commitment and equally maximize your potential. When you focus on what adds up in your life, you will be able to earn the attendant dividends it pays in the final analysis. May your life not answer to the description of someone who beats the air without making giant strikes and stride to hit the mark in Jesus name.
