THE LEADER WITH THE MASTER PLAN

According to the grace of God bestowed upon me, like a skillful architect and wise master builder, I laid the foundation and another man is building upon it… - I Cor. 3:10

A leader who does not make projections into the future and firm up the course of action to achieve them may grapple with frustrations. Therefore, it goes without saying that leaders should marshal their team in pursuit of preset projections with the will to achieve them in spades. For all practical purposes, it is highly essential for leaders to define the roadmap that will guide their team towards the realization of specified goals.

The tool of planning provides successful leaders with the platform that will get their visions and dreams on the way to accomplishment. Planning provides a leader with the desired foundation upon which his visions and dreams can be nurtured into reality. It is not enterprising for a leader to hold planning in abeyance. Inasmuch as a leader is not meant to live for the moment, but expected to gather momentum for the future, he or she must chart out a master plan to actualize his or her vision.

Nehemiah did not launch himself into building the walls and the burnt gates of Jerusalem by guess and by golly. He didn’t leave the realization of his vision and mission to chance. He sized up the situation and thereafter drew up a master plan to actualize his desire. Sooner than expected, the mission was accomplished because there was a defined plan coupled with his contagious passion that stirred his team into relentless commitment. Therefore, I pray God endow you with the divine direction and inspiration to chart out the roadmap for the realization of your vision and aspirations in Jesus name.
