THE ROOT OF FULFILLMENT

I have fought the good fight of faith, I have finished my race and I have kept the faith – II Tim. 4:7

Fulfillment is the harvest of accomplishment of the purpose of God for your life. If you despise the discovery of God’s purpose for your life, of course, you will have reasons to become disillusioned, disgruntled and discontented with life. We discovered from the Scripture that the highest pursuit of Christ was to lay down His life as a Sacrificial Lamb, so He could overflow with the joy of fulfillment of His mission and of the salvation of the souls of humanity for which He came to die. If you choose a route that is in dissonance with God’s purpose for your life, you will have to square up to the discontentment and regrets that awaits you down the road.

In an attempt to realign himself with God’s mandate for his life, Paul enquired to discover the ultimate plan of God for his life. When the Lord obstructed his mission to persecute the Church while on the way to Damascus, he sought what God had divinely jobbed out for him to do lest he become jack of all trades. The discovery of his purpose to spearhead the ministry to the Gentiles set him apart with daunting tasks ahead. Without dragging his feet on God’s mandate for his life, he hit the ground running and was engrossed with God’s heavenly vision for his life.

Before you can confidently say that, “I have fought the good fight of faith and I have finished my course”, it must be that you identified the right cause for which you were created and that you kept on striving towards it without jumping the track. In order not to become a victim of the learning experience characterized by frustration, make a point of discovering the mandate of God for your life and to pursue same with vim and vigour. The discovery of your purpose helps you to find root for the fulfillment of God’s mandate for your life. The relentless pursuit of same gives you maximum return for an experience of fulfillment without limit. May you not shortchange yourself of the humongous harvest of fulfillment that comes from alignment with God’s master-plan for your life in Jesus name.
