...Behold, now is truly the time for a gracious welcome and acceptance [of you from God]; behold, now is the day of salvation! - 2 Cor. 6: 2
Waiting for a convenient day before you decide to identify with Jesus may lead to eternal disappointment. If you decide to post date your day of salvation, the angel of death may decide to meet with you before time. Know that the devil doesn't give his victims a heads up when dangers are looming. He rather preoccupies and inundates them with lustful passion, fashion, addiction and distraction. And once the angel of death and destruction identifies that you are not sealed by the blood of Jesus , he may sweep you off your feet with the flood of his fury. Hence, why not make up your mind now to choose life? Why wait till tomorrow which is beyond your control?
In  bid to indulge themselves in the pleasure of sin to the nth degree, many put a hold on their day of salvation. If you think that the time is not ripe for you to experience God's saving power, the devil may harvest you from the face of the earth. Many people are rising to the bait of the devil because he offers them the pleasure of sin and impair their sight from the penalty of sin - eternal damnation. Through his smoke and mirrors, he makes many to be oblivious of the danger that awaits them down the road.
When a Christian begins to justify the pleasure of sin, the devil might have put passion for fleshy gratification in the way of his entry to eternal life. When this happens, he nurtures the thought that he can shuttle between godliness and worldliness before Christ comes. And the devil might make him to believe that he could make amends and ask for mercy before the catching up of the saints into their eternal abode with God. In the end, such Christians get their fingers burnt and discovered that their repentance is belated and are hence barred from being counted as citizens of heaven. May the gate of heaven not be barred against you, as you resolve to cleave to Jesus today and not tomorrow,  and thereby avert shedding tears of sorrow in Jesus name.
