THE DELIVERANCE OF THE RIGHTEOUS

... I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt,  and have heard their cry because of their taskmaster,  for I know their sorrows. So,  I have come down to deliver them...  Exodus 3:7-8

God is not insensitive to the cry of the oppressed. Unlike the devil,  the oppression of a people does not delight the heart of the Almighty. The Scripture says, "For the oppression of the poor and for sighing of the needy, now I will arise" (Ps. 12:5). When the children of Israel cried to the Lord in their affliction, God arose to intervene as the Ultimate Redeemer of their souls. God recognizes  deliverance as the meal of His children and is ever willing to offer a helping hands in the time of their trouble. This explains why the Bible says God is the very present help in the time of trouble (Ps. 46:1).

The deliverance of the righteous is their BREAD. The Bible unveiled to us that healing is the bread of God's children and that the Lord would not cast it to the dogs. God will not leave the righteous high and dry and become occupied to set the wicked free from his sorrows. Secondly,  the deliverance of the righteous BREAKS the yoke of their afflictions. The Bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous but that the Lord God delivers him out of them all.

When the Lord delivers the righteous from his affliction, it leads to the divine exchange of BEAUTY for ashes. The children of Israel were covered with the ashes of sorrows, oppression and heavy burden. When they cried to the Lord, He rose up for their sake and began to envelope them with the pillar and cloud of fire. Their season of ashes was terminated as the Lord ushered in a new chapter of beauty in their lives. As you trust God for His touch today, may He deliver you from all your afflictions and decorate you with His beauty in Jesus name.
