For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning -  Hebrew 4:15
True leaders are not just passionate but also compassionate. They display the milk of human kindness and freely give out themselves to others. When leaders see leadership as people business, they see people as precious assets that should be treasured and not tortured or tormented. However, a leader who can't see with half of his eyes that people deserve to be held in high regard losses his influence and acceptance.
Leaders who identify with the people are RESPONSIVE.. They keep an open door policy and are willing to give a helping hand in the time of need.  They do not shut their eyes and hearts to helping the destitute. Aside from this, true leaders are not overbearing but RESPECTFUL. They are willing to listen to reason and mirror issues from other people's perspective. Hence,  they do not assume monopoly of knowledge and also hold no brief for mal-treating people on their watch.
The psalmist says, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...He restores my soul" (Ps. 23:1-2). This unveils the secret of great leaders, in that they help to RENEW, RESTORE and REVIVE a dying soul. Hence, true leaders are a pillar of strength in the days of adversity and discouragement. They help people to keep hope alive. Are you responsive to the hue and cry of those who require your urgent attention?  Do they see you as approachable and not as someone who bullies and fails to listen to reason?  Will people find hope to live and hope against hope through the divine dynamics of inspiration and encouragement? If not, make up your mind to have a paradigm shift and embrace the culture and attributes to make your leadership count. May you enjoy fresh grace and favour,  as you identify with people in their days of adversity and time of need in Jesus name.
