The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. - I Cor. 1:18
The Gospel is considered foolishness to those who turn a deaf ear to it. When the Gospel falls on a deaf ear, it brings condemnation to those who despise it till the end of the age. But when the Gospel falls on receptive ears, those who receive it become the recipients and inheritors of eternal life. To put it differently, the message that brings life to those who believe it will result in condemnation for those who reject it.
The Gospel is simply the only message that paves way for eternal life to those who receive it. It is the story of an incurable Lover who left His eternal estate and laid His life for a ransom for all. Those who make mockery of the Gospel ruins their candidature of heaven. Those who think they can buy their way into heaven ignorantly misconceive that the Holy City is accessible like visa lottery mechanism.
Today, you need to decide the side of the divide you want to belong. However, don't fall into disfavour with God by being unreceptive to the Gospel. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. There is no other name given among men by which we must be saved other than by the name of Jesus. There is nothing sweeter than the name of Jesus. So if you want to journey from an ordinary life to a supernatural life, it begins with your reception of Jesus. As you open your heart to receive the Gospel, may you experience abundant life and joy of heaven in Jesus name. Happy October 2016
