DON'T JUST COME CLOSE, TAKE HOLD!

And David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?" "Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue." -  1 Samuel 30:8

Many come close to actualizing their dreams but never get a win under their belt. It is said that close only counts in horseshoes, signifying that being close is not enough except you hit the mark. Without this, you wouldn't come across as having scored sterling points. When it registers with you that people celebrate success above efforts, you need to poise yourself to work towards hitting the mark.

People who take hold of success in spite of daunting challenges are people who are DISCONTENTED WITH LIVING AN AVERAGE LIFE. Because David was discontented with the plunder in his camp by the Amalekites, he sought divine guidance to  pursue and recover his possessions. Without fail, David recovered all because he pinned his faith on God's word and more so because he couldn't live with being plundered by an enemy nation.

It goes without saying that fear will not allow a man to come anywhere near his goals. While he may get off the starting block, he would certainly lose steam and chicken out of his desired pursue. However, people who hit the mark do PUT UP A BOLD FRONT UNTIL THEY EMERGE AS A FRONTLINE ACHIEVER. Hence, allowing fear to come in the way of your pursuit will of course make you go off the track. In addition, those who DISREGARD NEGATIVE THOUGHTS DON'T GET STUCK HALF WAY. They often stay ahead and keep striving towards a successful landing. Therefore, pray the Lord help you not to get stuck in the middle but rather help you get to the finishing line in Jesus name.
