"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." -  Isaiah 6:8
The readiness to follow the Lord and the determination to do the Master's will, no matter the cost, are the signs of a true disciple of Christ.
In the Kingdom, you've got to carry your cross. It is a key responsibility you've got to perform in advancing the Kingdom. Whenever the Master needs someone to perform a kingdom task, a true disciple doesn't go into hiding or make excuses but rather say, "here I am, send me".
You are not a disciple of Christ until you are both a taker and seeker of responsibility. Aside from this, true disciples are wise executors of the instructions of the Holy Spirit. They know that the Master's task must be done the way the Master wants it done. So they are open and ready to seek godly counsel lest they disappoint the One who sent them.
Ultimately, no true disciple entangles himself with the affairs of this world. He is not tossed about by the pleasures of this world. Rather, he makes the Kingdom his focus and gets occupied with his Master’s work till He comes.
Are you a true disciple of Christ? Examine yourself and seek the grace not to fall short of God's expectation as you run the race for the glorious cause of Christ.
