Let this same attitude and purpose and (humble) mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: Let Him be your example in humility – Phil 2:5
One peculiar trait demonstrated by Jesus before His death on the Cross was meekness. Meekness is synonymous with gentleness but not with foolishness. It is the virtue that makes a man to think less of his dignified status and take a humble position. The Bible says Jesus made Himself of no reputation. He took the form of a servant in order to save humanity.
For you to rise to stardom and sustain your divine placement, you must allow the spirit of humility to play out in your life. It is a wrong conception to think that being humble will discount your high profile and deflate your dignity. True humility boosts your profile and makes you a reference point of an exemplary lifestyle.
But a person who prefers to lord him or herself over everybody will lose his dignity and attract the disrespect of many. If you will not live a life of humility, you will end up discounting your self-acclaimed dignity. Know that humility helps you to deflate your ego so you can be acclaimed a hero of exemplary lifestyle. I pray your heart pant after the treasure of humility over the pleasure of self-advertisement in Jesus name.
