Arise (Elijah), go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. – I Kings 17:9
God has a master plan that reflects the appointed time of visitation for His children. So if you are yet to experience God’s divine visitation, this is your hour and moment of divine encounter. Without God’s divine visitation, there will not be divine elevation into enviable status. The crippled man at the Beautiful Gate (Acts 3) who had been begging alms was divinely visited and was lifted out of his crippled condition and his history of begging was wiped away.
After Joseph had spent two full years in the prison, subsequent to his incarceration by Potiphar, his master, God remembered him. The hour of visitation is the season when God brings you into favour while He terminates your history of dishonour, struggle and distress. When God remembered Joseph, he entered into favour with the highest authority in Egypt and was assigned a dignified and enviable role in the land.
The hour of visitation is that hour within which God settles you with your heart desires and puts a new song in your mouth to sing. God terminated the captivity of the Israelites in Babylon because their time of divine visitation came. When God visits you at the hour of your visitation, He doesn’t appear as a ravaging visitor who comes to empty your treasure, but visits as a Divine Depositor of the treasures and riches of heaven into your life. The widow of Zarephat was not left destitute by Elijah but was re-filled with multitude of blessings enough to sustain her household for many days. I pray as you watch with longsuffering and patience, God’s visitation will never elude you in the name of Jesus.
