One of the devil’s schemes is to afflict his victims with heavy burden. The Israelites were placed under heavy burden and hard labour by the Egyptians. The taskmasters that were placed over them made their lives miserable. But when the Israelites cried to the Lord, help came on their way.
A man who receives help from above will be relieved from every earthly affliction and pain. If you cannot lift up your eyes upwards to the Lord for His help, the enemy will lower you into the horrible pit of frustration and depression. Mordecai would have been hanged on the gallows prepared by Haman but help came on his way and also for the Jews, because they invoked God’s assistance.
The Psalmist chose to lift up his eyes to the Lord for help because he knew that vain is the help of man. In the end, God delivered his soul from stubborn pursuers and destiny destroyers. Therefore, I pray God send help to you when you least expected and faster than you can think, as you begin to cry to Him from today. May His help reach you speedily in Jesus name.
