DIVINE WRESTLING

“For we are not wrestling wit flesh and blood but against the despotisms, the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly sphere” – Eph. 6:12

Every child of God is mandated to fight the good fight of faith. So running from battles is akin to displaying spiritual mediocrity when you should be pulling down the gates of hell and the strongholds of the enemies. Christ has built His Church (His glorious people) and has assured her that the gates of hell would not prevail against her. Therefore, your Christianity is not an escape route from wrestling against the celestial and terrestrial forces of this world nor does it exempt you from confronting the devil and his agents.

Many have been dissipating their physical energy unwisely, confronting their fellow humans as the supposed causative agents of their trauma and challenges. Some Christians have wrongly accused their family, friends and neighbours as the individuals responsible for their misfortunes, especially when they are deceived through spiritual impersonation in their dreams. Many relationships have collapsed on false and counter accusations without discerning to unveil the root cause of the evil wind aimed at winding up their relationship.

You need to understand that life is a battlefield and that your redemption through the blood of Christ is accompanied with the power to confront and wrestle against powers, principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. Without spiritual stamina and vibrancy, you will be unable to instigate turbulence and unrest in the camp of your enemies. To wrestle against the devil, you need to put on the whole armour of God and stand relentless until your enemies submit themselves to you, through the greatness of God’s power at work in you. Don’t be afraid; you aren’t a weakling but a warrior to incite terror and torment in the territory of your adversaries. May the Lord empower you to discomfit every power assigned to bring you distress and discomfort in Jesus name
