THE GAINS OF DIVINE CONSULTATION

And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them? “Pursue them”, he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.” - 1 Sam 30:8

God will not leave you in the dark when you ask for His direction and thought concerning your pursuit in life. Before you can gain a divine reputation as the salt of the earth, you need to consult with God on the direction and pathway He has carved out for you to follow. The reason why many people seem to get slowed down in life is because they fail to follow the plan and pathway of God for their lives. So they run on another man’s track assuming that God will fast track their pursuit to the top. Don’t expect God to give you speed or fast track your journey to the top if you despise the track and pathway He has carved out for you.

Life is a marathon race which requires you to first turn to God for direction before you hit the road. If you begin a marathon race without consulting with God and get stuck half way, it will cause you excruciating pain to get yourself repositioned. So a life without a divine roadmap is a journey into the jungle, which can bungle a man’s destiny from attaining to greatness. Before you proceed with the plan before you, you need God to help you vet and certify it. When the seal of God is upon your life pursuit, He will certainly empower you with the zeal to reach your destination.

Consulting with God and His inspired counsellors will help you to:

1. Avoid a life of frustration. David’s pursuit after the Amalekites was not greeted with frustration. He didn’t return empty. His expectation was not dashed because he consulted with God

2. Keep confusion out of your path. Confusion is synonymous with darkness. Your best move in life is when you put your feet where God has registered His presence. The moment you follow God’s footstep ahead of you, you cannot be encircled with confusion

3. Reach your destination with fruition and fulfilment. David pursued, overtook and recovered all his possessions from the Amalekites because he heeded to God’s leading. When you follow God’s leading for your life, your destiny can never be held backward or stagnated.

As you go today, ask God to give you direction and instruction, to illuminate your path and cause you to reap the dividend of fulfilment and sweat-less accomplishment. May the Lord shed His light on your path, to dislodge confusion and frustration out of your life in Jesus name. Amen.
