The preparation of the heart belongs to man; but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord – Prov. 16:1
Preparation precedes every successful pursuit in life. Without proper preparation, there will not be a remarkable success. Failure is no respecter of anybody. If you don’t want to be overwhelmed by failure, on account of your refusal or negligence to prepare yourself, then you must plan to succeed.
The Bible says Ezra, the priest, began to prepare and enrich his heart with the knowledge of the Law of the Lord, so he could do it and also teach it to the Israelites (Ezra 7:10). Regardless of your status and position, you need to be prepared ahead of time. If you are a half-baked Christian, you will not be able to nourish God’s people with the undiluted word of God.
When tests and temptations come the way of an unprepared believer, his ignorance of the way of God, the word of God and the weapon of his warfare will be exposed. Preparation makes your heart to be alert and ready to take advantage of opportunities. It also keeps you ready for rapture, as you exercise yourself unto holiness in accordance with the will of God. I pray: May the effort you invest in your future yield the expected harvest of success that you desire in Jesus name.
