FINDING FAVOUR WITH GOD

I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me - Prov. 8:17

It is heart-warming to find favour with God. For you to find favour with God, you must have the yearning to find God. The Bible says, "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near" (Isa. 55:6). But when God is secondary in your list of pursuits, you cannot emerge as a primary beneficiary of His favour.

For you to find favour with God, you must display proximity with God. This implies that you cannot afford to say "Hi" to God and zoom off without hooking up with Him big time in prayers. You must also demonstrate to God that you are worth partnering with. When God finds you to be a promising, profitable and productive partner, you will enjoy His backing and bountiful share of being a profitable partner.

The volume of pleasure you bring to God determines His love for you. David loved the Lord passionately. His love for the Lord translated to his commitment to build God a house of praise. It also reflected in his resolution to do God's will without rebelling against Him. If you desire proximity and partnership with God and bring Him unmitigated pleasure without compromising your purity in His sight, His favour will overshadow you. As you go today, may every turn you make result in the flow of His favour in your direction in Jesus name.
