You know that the Passover is in two days--and the Son of Man will be delivered up treacherously to be crucified. - Matt. 26:2
Successful leaders broaden their horizon to gain an extensive view of trends and events that impact on their relevance and expertise. They embrace and mine for information that will enrich and broaden their knowledge base. A leader who is a mine of information has the capacity to bridge the knowledge gap of his team. He keeps his team abreast of up to the minute information that will set them as frontline team-players.
Leaders who have tunnel vision of a subject matter are usually resistant to making wide consultations. They box themselves into their comfort zone and will often times refuse to spread their wings. Consequently, their inability to see beyond the present trim their capacity to make impact. In all probability, they get to raise a team that will be nothing short of a pocket of resistance. If you want to be a leader with a sterling performance, you must be willing and ready to see the big picture in every task and endeavor. You need to develop and display the gift of foresight before you can inspire your team with the insight to keep them on tract.
A leader who depends on the benefit of hindsight runs the risk of accumulating unresolved issues. He may distort his train of thought and impair his faculty of sight in proffering solutions to problems. Because Jesus had a foresight of His crucifixion, He prepared His disciples ahead of the time. And because He knew they needed to have the courage of their convictions to fulfil His mandate for their lives, He assured them of His resurrection. Therefore, His resurrection kept them on track even when they would have been sidetracked by fiery opposition. Hence, I pray the Lord enlighten your eyes of understanding to make you proactive with results and not reactive, in your decision making in Jesus name.
