THE PRICELESS SOUL

…or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul – Matt. 16:26

The breath of God was the divine activator of the existence of man. When God breathe into man, he became a living soul. The soul of man houses the will, intellect and emotion of man. Without the soul, man is nothing short of a dummy. Because God desires fellowship and communion with man, he made him a living soul to enable him respond to divine instruction, choose willfully and exercise sound judgment.

The soul of man makes man capable of sinning or living righteously, as he chooses. However, the Bible didn’t conceal the looming danger that awaits a sinful soul. Because God is the source of life, He has not outsourced the power to give life to any man. He has the power to kill and make alive the soul of man. The soul of the first Adam experienced a departure from the presence of God, signifying a spiritual death, because of sin. But the soul of the second Adam, Christ, gave us the key to the divine restoration of our soul to God.

No man can negotiate or put a figure to the worth of his soul. The power to sanctify the soul is invested in no man but in the blood of Jesus. Also know that a soul that is rebellious and unmindful of the things of God is at the peril of eternal damnation. Therefore, take heed to how you live your life. If you are yet to be identified with Christ, your life is not safeguarded against the havoc and destruction that awaits every ungodly person. Therefore, amend your ways. The salvation of your soul is precious to God and that was why Jesus settled the penalty of sin, with His precious blood for the salvation of your soul. If you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, do so without delay. May the Lord preserve your soul blameless and incorruptible till you shall see Christ in glory in Jesus name
