Nor did He offer Himself regularly again and again, as the high priest enters the Holies every year with blood not his own – Hebrews 9:25
The redemption of the soul of man is not accomplishable without the shedding of the blood. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death…” This justifies why the Old Testament priests made yearly sacrifice for the atonement of sins using the blood of bulls. However, the blood of bulls was inadequate and insufficient instrument to purchase and perfect the redemption of man. In lieu of yearly sacrifice and for the perfection of our redemption, Jesus chose to be become the Ultimate Wage for the redemption and salvation of humanity.
The purchase price for the redemption of the human soul was perfected with the blood of Jesus, as the perfect spiritual instrument that is not subject to the devaluation, diminution and depletion. The ransom for the redemption of man was paid upfront while we were yet sinners not because our ways were in alignment with the holiness of God.
Jesus did not drag His feet before deciding to be offered as the Ultimate Wage or penalty for the redemption of humanity. He poured out Himself as the priceless and inestimable instrument to put paid to the yearly priestly sacrifice of bulls and goats. Because Jesus became the Ultimate Wage for our redemption, the rage and fury of God is appeased; humanity is liberated from the cage of spiritual imprisonment and whosoever believes in Him will escape the lake of fire prepared for the devil and those who partner with him in rebellion, disobedience and disregard of the saving power of Jesus. May the blood of Jesus not amount to a waste over your life, as you receive His gift of salvation in Jesus name.
