TRUE LEADERS PRAY BEFORE THEY X-RAY A CHALLENGE

So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days, I was fasting and praying before the God of heavens – Neh. 1:4

Successful leaders make prayers a priority when they run up against challenges. Prayers help a leader to clear the atmosphere of doubt, fear and confusion. It gives a leader the power and strength to take up challenges. The instrument of prayer helps a leader to also keep unpleasant events at bay. While others are overwhelmed with the troubles and challenges that confront them, a true leader stays on top of his challenges.

Nehemiah did not put the cart before the horse in resolving the deplorable state of Jerusalem. He chose to pray before he began to x-ray the state of affairs of the broken walls and burnt gates of Jerusalem. Consequent to his prayers, his confidence was built up. His mission to rebuild the walls and gates of Jerusalem received a divine backing. In spite of opposition, God helped him because he did not consider God as a secondary player in his resolve to make impact.

As a leader, you can make great impact if you partner with God in constant prayers. When God becomes your second in command and not the Grand-Commander, the road blocks on your pathway to do exploit will disrupt your progress and frustrate you from achieving your goals. If Jesus began His ministry with prayers and ended with prayers, true leaders must also draw strength through the instrument of prayers to fulfill their mission in life. May you soar with wings like an eagle over every challenge and obstacle built up to frustrate the mandate of God for your life in Jesus name.
