Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song unto the Lord, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously… Ex. 15:1
Great leaders don’t lose favour with God because they remember Him as their Ultimate Source. They put out all the stops and remain religious about appreciating God for small mercies and also for His mighty acts. They understand that praising God helps them to ascribe all the glory to God for His immense grace upon their lives.
A leader will pave way for the wrath of God to flow and blow him up if he chooses to share and dictate the sharing formula of the glory of God, for the gracious hand of God upon him. King Herod Agrippa was a reference point and a victim of this act (Acts 12). So it isn’t within reason and absolutely beyond the pale for leaders to shortchange God of His glory. However, true leaders attach precedence and priority to the praise of God. They understand that it is the winning wisdom that sustains and multiplies God’s blessings upon their lives.
It is also significant to mention that a leader who is not thankful cannot be graceful and flourishing. Moses was thankful to God for leading the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by a great deliverance. Because he remained thankful, God’s grace was multiplied upon his life. So multiplied grace is attainable if a leader continuously magnifies the goodness of God upon his or her life. May you never have reasons to shortchange God of His glory, so you could experience God’s overflowing grace for great exploits in Jesus name.
