THE LORD KNOWS HIS OWN

But the firm foundation of God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal: The Lord knows those who are His, and Let everyone who names the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it – II Timothy 2:19

God cannot be swindled by religion, civilization or modernization. He has not changed and will not change. His standard is carved in stone and so, He doesn’t adjust His attributes of righteousness, mercy, holiness and uprightness below par to suit the ungodly appetite of man. It boggles my mind to know that the Church is wrestling with the ability to discriminate between purity and promiscuity. As long as a Christian mingles purity with promiscuity, he is going nowhere. Heaven is far from a Christian who thinks a little here and a little there stands well with God.

It’s either you are for God or you pitch your tent with the devil. Many people are masquerading themselves as saints, brethren and Disciples of Christ but have no part in the heavenly treasure in God’s kingdom. God does not recognize a double standard Christian as a profitable co-labour in His kingdom. If you want to serve God, serve Him wholeheartedly. You cannot afford to be a square peg in a round hole.

Jesus knows His own. He is well acquainted with the ways and norms of His people. He knows those who call upon Him in sincerity, in truth and with a perfect heart. He knows those who are gambling with His reputation and identity. God is not deceived and He cannot be mocked. Therefore, don’t stain your reputation. If you are on the Lord’s side, know that He places a high premium on your identity as His royal child. Therefore, don’t sacrifice your kingdom identity, purity and partnership with God on the altar of worldliness and ungodliness. May you not be disqualified when the Lord, the Chief Bridegroom, comes for His beloved, the Glorious Church, to harvest them into His heavenly habitation in Jesus name.
