THE RISK FACTOR IN THE PURSUIT OF PURPOSE

…then I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish – Esther 4:16

Living a purposeful life gives a high return together with a sense of fulfillment in life. It is the most profitable way of living which stands you in a good stead. When you are in the chase of living a life of purpose, you will certainly be kept on track and will find reasons to be happy and thankful. However, inasmuch as you desire to live a purposeful life, you must be ready for the challenges that accompany it.

You need to know that there are inherent risks in living a life purpose. In other words, you cannot assume to be living a purpose life and remain a perpetual occupant within your comfort zone. Living purposefully will usually require you to spread your wings to take calculated risk that will earn you huge return. The Bible says that Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. In the course of His ministry, He was confronted with enemies of the Gospel He preached. Many a time, His life was at risk because He was on the move to live out the purpose of God for His life.

Esther also chose to take calculated risk when she discovered that her placement in the palace was divinely orchestrated to work out the deliverance of the Jews in Shushan. When she got wind of the looming danger that awaited the Jews, which Haman intended to bring upon them, Esther rose to the occasion. The Bible says that she went to seek the favour of the King of Shushan at such a time when her appearance before the king could cause her the penalty of death. She put up a bold front and took the risk that gave the maximum return for her pursuit of purpose. Ultimately, her mission in Shushan was accomplished as she brought about the deliverance of the Jews. Therefore, I pray that God strengthens your heart to take every risk that will give you maximum return while in pursuit of God’s purpose for your life in Jesus name.
