THE SUPREMACY OF PURPOSE

That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things - Eph. 5:27

Topmost on the agenda of Jesus is His ultimate desire to present to Himself a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle. This aligns with the purpose of His death: to save to the uttermost a people made ready for Him. Because the salvation of mankind took precedence in the heart of Jesus, He esteemed it more than physical meal that wastes away. This explains why He said, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me and to finish it.” Therefore, if you put the will of God on the back burner of your schedule, your destiny will certainly be behind schedule.

If you allow the purpose of God to overrule your decisions in life, God’s agenda for your life will expediently begin to see the light of day. Therefore, the easiest way to shortchange yourself of God’s plan for your life is to allow the purpose of God to take the back seat in your overall pursuit in life. Jesus did not emerge on the earth without a purpose. He departed His heavenly habitation with a purposeful mindset: the redemption of man.

While putting the cart before the horse, some believers have shortchanged themselves of the manifold blessings of God. Judas Iscariot gave priority to the pursuit of prosperity over the ultimate purpose of God for his life. Instead of stepping up to the plate to fulfill the mandate towards global outreach for the Lord, his spiritual understanding became impaired, propelling him to seek material gain above the ultimate mandate of God for his life. Consider your priority and ensure that the first thing comes first. May your destiny not be slowed down but rather blown into the realm of supernatural manifestations in Jesus’ name.
