WITHIN THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF PURPOSE

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty - Ps. 91:1

Any life outside the purpose of God is like embarking on a journey to the land of no return. And when it comes to discovering and staying within the purpose of God for your life, ignorance isn’t bliss. It amounts to treading on dangerous grounds if a man’s understanding is impaired from discovering God’s purpose for his life. However, the purpose of God may not always assure you of a smooth sailing but will certainly guarantee a peaceful and joyful landing. Joseph had his ups and downs but at the end he became a fulfilled faithful friend of God. His perseverance to stay within God’s purpose for his life paved way for his stardom.

If you allow the temporal affliction you are going through to derail you from the center of God’s will, you may have to pay dearly for it. For some, the lust of the eyes has impaired their spiritual understanding and are unable to stick to the straight and narrow. Because of their weakness for inordinate affection, they back out of God’s purpose for their lives. By their own making, they shortchange themselves of the manifold blessing of God.

While Gehazi could have been endowed with a double portion of the anointing of Elisha, he traded it in exchange for material possession. His appetite for vanity forced him out of the circumference of the purpose of God for his life. His action made Elisha to cast spell on him, which dispelled him out of the bliss of divine purpose. Therefore, I pray the Lord endow you with the spirit of perseverance to abide within the circumference of God’s purpose for your life in Jesus name.
