ARE YOU ON THE LORD’S SIDE?

So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, “Whoever is for the Lord, come to me.” And all the Levites rallied to him – Exodus 32:26

It takes someone who has seen the light to make a swift change from darkness to light. Many people are still basking in the pleasure offered to them by the devil. So they have not considered it prudent to decamp from the domain of the devil. Some prefer to worship God a little here and later switch over to gratify the desires of the devil a little there. They prefer to have their foot in both camps which is a step out of line in the sight of God. You need to know that the line is drawn and you would have to choose the side of the divide where you want to belong. If you are truly for God, you cannot transit into God’s company with your bag and baggage of sin and be allotted a space for settlement amongst God’s beloved.

Understandably, God holds no brief for a life that is devoted to do the will of the devil. This explains why He ventilates His anger against the wicked every day. Wickedness does not necessarily mean that you must have killed someone but could mean that you keep God on the back burner of your life while you prioritize on inordinate affections, gratification, ungodly pleasure which spell disaster down the road.

If you want God to take sides against the devil when the devil confronts you with battle, it must be evident that you are on the Lord’s side. God will not square up to fight the devil on your behalf if you have not squared account with Him, to be on His side. On the part of God, it will be a miscarriage of justice if He fails to rescue you from the hands of the devil if you are truly on His side.

However, it is certain that if you belong to God and reside with Him, He will write your name in the Book of Life, give you the right to access the Tree of Life while you enjoy eternal life with Him in His kingdom. If you are not born again and have not pitched your tent on the Lord’s side, the devil will have to decide your fate and will of course want you to reside with him to experience eternal torment and tribulation. I pray this wouldn’t be your lot in Jesus name. Therefore, throw aside the bag and baggage of sin that will make God to evict you from His camp and rather choose to live for God in holiness. May you not suffer divine eviction from the kingdom of God and reap the harvest of eternal damnation in Jesus name.
