DON’T RELEGATE YOURSELF

Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it. But his fellow scouts said, We are not able to go up against the people for they are stronger than we are. - Numbers 13:30-31

Before you can emerge a champion, you need to think and act like a champion. If you don’t allow the thought of defeat to flood your heart, the fear of defeat will not find entrance into your heart. The moment you allow fear to cripple you from swinging into action, your confidence level takes the downswing. The reason why some people experience nervous breakdown is because they belittle themselves. They relegate themselves and despise their ability to excel when confronted with daunting task. Relegating yourself doesn’t get you in the spotlight; it rather makes you hide your potential in obscurity while you ought to be making giant impact.

I once read that the only limitation you have is the one you impose on yourself. When your thought is full of doubt and impossibilities, you will not achieve anything mind-blowing or significant. For you to rise to stardom and emerge a champion, you need to align your thought with God’s thought. Discover how God perceives you through the scripture. You need to have a tried and true perception of your potential lest you relegate yourself to the basement. The reason why you shouldn’t relegate yourself is because God does not hide Himself when you need Him the most. Hence, you cannot afford to sign off when God is still on the scene of the fight.

When it seems as if you are going nowhere with your whole bag of tricks and potential, rest assured that it isn’t time to press the panic the button. Rather put up a brave front because it wouldn’t be wise to take a backseat. Joshua and Caleb took a different stand, not to relegate themselves in the face of a fiery battle against giants. They chose not to consider themselves as grasshoppers unlike their associates who turned in a bad report and made the camp of Israel to be restless with their report. Hence, I pray that you won’t have the cause to suffer a life-time defeat as you choose not to relegate yourself to the basement in Jesus name
