TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS

So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom. - Ps. 90:12

Everyone who wants to make impact tomorrow must begin to take the right step today. Today presents you with opportunities you shouldn’t allow to slip by. Hence, you shouldn’t associate yourself with those who over-emphasize tomorrow and under-estimate today. When you over-emphasize tomorrow, you will, of course, stuff and overload your tomorrow with tasks beyond what you could bargain for. John Maxwell wrote, 'The secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda.' This explains why the renowned leadership expert put forward the view that, “Today Matters”.

You have no control over yesterday. Hence, it is unprofitable to live in the past. The past is past. Whatsoever you fail to sow yesterday cannot be harvested today. Instead of recycling a junkyard of regrets for the opportunities that you lost yesterday, get poised to make it up today. God knows the numbers of your days. He has a plan for your life. You can partner with God to reap the harvest of accomplishment if you stay focused and follow His leadership today.

If you are far off from God, resolve to draw close to Him today. The salvation of your soul is not what you want to put on hold if you earnestly hope for glorious days ahead. The earlier you make up your mind to serve God and follow Him all the way, the wiser you become in the knowledge of His will and purpose for your life. Because God will not keep you in the loop as regards His plan for your life, if you keep yourself at a distance from Him. By grace, I connected with God much earlier in life. I've been growing up in the knowledge of His will and purpose for my life. God has been my inspiration and the reason for my ability to inspire as many that devote time to read my articles. Your testimony cannot fall short of God’s glory if you are in right tune with God. Hence, I pray the Lord God stir you to live up to His expectation for your life in Jesus name. Today, I say, 'Happy birthday to me'.
