THE SIGNS OF THE END

But understand this, that in the last days will come perilous times of great stress and trouble. For people will be lovers of self and self-centered, lovers of money… 2 Tim 2:1-5

God’s call to man is not to gather the sons of men for entertainment but to enable them gain entrance into His kingdom, for unending experience of joy in His presence. Any life outside the circumference of God’s kingdom is a life under the conferment of worldly entanglement. We are in the perilous time just as the Bible says. The love of many for the things of God is waxing cold day by day. Many prefer to whet their appetite with lustful passion, scene, shows, fashion and entertainment. Because many folks love themselves more than they love God, they put God on hold in their affairs. While holding God in abeyance, they earnestly pursue mundane things of this world.

If God has lost His first place in your life, that means you must have tossed Him aside, in order to idolize the small gods in your life. A life that is not chaired by God will of course be plagued with overwhelming affliction on account of the devil’s ungodly prescription and counsel. The devil is not out there to assure you of a glorious future down the road. It is said that, “Misery loves company.” So, the devil is earnestly looking for companions that will become miserable as he would be in the fiery lake of fire. Hence, don’t rise to the bait of the devil. If you allow the devil to lure you into unquenchable appetite for sin, you may have to count your losses in eternity. I pray this won’t be your lot in Jesus name.

It is discovered that the life of godliness is not appealing to many. They considered it too demanding and burdensome to meet simple divine requirements in conforming to the image of Christ. That is why ungodliness is flooding the length and breadth of the world. Trends and events that draw interest in the society today are those things that gratify the flesh. The Bible is explicit on the caption that, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any nation”. If God were to destroy a nation, wherein you are a citizen, will He spare you, just as He spared Lot and family, as it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah? Hence, I pray you yield your life to please the Lord regardless of the direction which the world pattern and affection is tilting towards in Jesus name.
