Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame,and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Heb 12:2
Purposeful people don’t allow people that are oblivious of their purpose to stand in the way of their advancement. They learn to endure and bear all things without allowing anyone to stand as a stumbling-block to the actualization of God’s purpose for their lives. They make great sacrifices in order not to become like the case of an ill bird that fouls its own nest. They avoid every attempt to make them fall from grace or lose favour with God. Jesus endured the Cross because He was purpose-driven. He got a hang on why He was on earth and while on the Cross, He never allowed His humiliation to disrupt His mission to bring salvation to mankind.
If truly you are heaven-bound, you will not allow the spirit of anger to upturn God’s plan for your life. You will not give way for covetousness to put your destiny in a tight spot. Inordinate passion for possessions will not overwhelm you. You will not allow people who choose to go nowhere to stir you into flouting the divine ordinances of God. In addition, you will endure the pains of affliction as a true soldier of Christ without compromising your faith. Though your faith may be shaken, it will not die a naturally death, because you will be able to keep hope alive until you prevail.
Anyone who does not know his mission in life will display any attitude that appeals to his emotion. If you are not purpose-driven, chances exist that you may be emotion-driven. You may suffer imbalance in your attitude and become easily swayed by the circumstances that surround you. Whosoever that is not living purposefully will not be able to see the big picture and give thought to the reason why he should endure his cross. Your ability to endure pains and affliction in the stormy season is the strength of character that will enable you to sustain your enthronement to a place of honour. May you not fall short of God’s expectation for your life, as you build the capacity to endure all things when you are being tested, in Jesus name
