WHEN GOD TAKES THE LEAD

He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. - Col 1:18

No one ever partner with God and reap the harvest of shame and frustration. If Jesus does not take the lead in the journey to your destination, the crooked paths in your journey will certainly put the skids under your advancement. When God advances ahead of you, it won't cross your mind to reverse or retrogress into obscurity. But if you choose to take the lead while God plays the second fiddle to your leadership, you will have to grapple with inundating challenges that will put the brakes on your progress.

However, allowing God to take the lead keeps you in the front line. When God takes preeminence in everything you do, you can rest assured that you will attain a height of uttermost reverence and enjoy special preference. Also, when God is before and you are behind, every frustration on the pathway to your greatness will give way for the actualization of God's plan for your life.

Finally, anyone who reduces God to his subordinate while he assumes the role of a supervisor will have to contend with fruitless effort. Dictating what goes on in your life without God's consultation will make one's effort to hit a brick wall. Hence, move out of the way for God to take the lead. Prayerfully ask for His direction so you don't lose your bearings. May you prevail over frustration and fruitless labour as you allow God to take the first place in your life in Jesus name.
