David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of this Philistine; your servant will go out and fight with him. - I Samuel 17:32
Everyone who desires to win in a race doesn't phase out before the end of the race. Prior to beginning the race,  they have the mindset to win through and not to nurture the thought of failure. Winners don't go to rest,  until they successfully put everything they desire to achieve to bed. Also, winners do not look at the size of a difficulty before they decide if it is surmountable. Hence, they fixed their hearts on winning and nothing short of it.
Champions are not INTIMIDATED by challenges. If they do, fear will cripple their will to fight. David didn't allow the peculiarities of Goliath to pull the plug on him. He strongly believed that Goliath wouldn't stop him from fighting for the Lord's people, whom he had defied. Winners are always INSPIRED to break the back of everything that wants to stand on their way to success. So they never assume or conceive defeat
People who win battles always want to keep winning. Hence, winners don't RETIRE from emerging as indomitable champions. No great winner will like to be tagged as an ex-champion. They always want to be in the spotlight and not in obscurity,  and would make unmitigated effort to earn their spurs. Are you grappling with something tasking and are about to give up? You might just need to keep plugging away at it until you are able to break its back and successfully lay it to rest. May you find grace to succeed and win through without suffering from any defeat whatsoever in Jesus name.
