Any house that is built on a
faulty foundation is vulnerable to the forces of the wind, storm and flood.
Those who have experienced turbulence and are still standing must have built
their lives on a solid foundation. But if it cannot be certified that a house
is built on a sure foundation, the fear of its collapse will grip its builder. If
you are not divinely certified and endorsed with the mark of sonship in Christ
Jesus, you are simply living on a sinking foundation. There is no guarantee
that you will be high and dry when the wind and storms begin to blow with
violent rage. Hence, instead of living all your life in fear and doubt of tomorrow,
why not examine your foundation. If your foundation cannot stand the test of
time and if uncertain of guaranteeing a secure future, make amends today.
God is not delighted in your
crumbling, but desires that your enemies tremble at your presence. If you have
Christ as your Sure Foundation, the devil knows that it will be an impossible
mission to crush and discomfort you. However, if your foundation is not built
on righteousness and holiness, to guarantee you a strong spiritual base, it
will be a piece of cake for the devil to crush you down in absolute defeat. But
those who make the Lord their spiritual base are a strong people and known for
deeds of exploits.
What kinds of blocks are you
laying for the future you desire? Is Jesus your ultimate, sure and secure
foundation? Are you mingling with the world and affirming that you are living on
a secure foundation? It only amounts to self-deceit if your answer is
affirmative. Patterning your life without ingraining godly principles of
holiness, faith in God, fellowship with God and dedication to God into your
life is nothing short of living a worldly life. No other foundation can
guarantee a life of stability, blessings and all round fulfilment than a life built
on Christ the Solid Rock. As you make Jesus your Sure Foundation, may you be
endowed with power to live above the sins and sorrows which beset the world in
Jesus name
