Experiencing the beauty and
glory of living is not synonymous with mere existence. Some people are existing
on the earth but not living. They are battered with diverse chapter of
accidents. They go through seamless ups and downs because the devil keeps
tossing them to and fro with afflictions. When you consider the account of
Jabez, his story answers to the description of someone who was just existing
until sorrow found its exit out of his life. When he became weary of a life of
sorrow and knew he could no longer harden himself up to his trying times, he
called on the God of Israel for divine intervention.
Clearly, to live is not to
exist but rather to experience and enjoy everything God has created for the
benefit of man upon the face of the earth. To live is to walk in the light of
God amidst the darkness of this world. A man who grapples with continuous black
out does not experience life because he is enclosed in obscurity. Furthermore,
a man who experiences a brown out is neither brimming with joy nor overwhelmed with
sorrow. He is just edged in the middle while he desires to see the fullness of
the light of God. However, when the light of God floods your life, darkness
will give way for your manifestation. The hold of the devil upon your life will
be loosed; limitations hindering you from gaining ground in life will be
removed; the root of sorrow will become the spring of joy and every death
warrant to cut short your life turns out to a divine certification to live and
see the goodness of God.
Jabez began to experience
the true meaning of abundance of life when he parted ways with sorrow. The
spell upon his life pulled the plug on his advancement until he had encounter
with God. It should be crystal clear to everyone that life is not synonymous
with mere drinking and eating. True life begins when you take a leap of faith
to walk with God and live for Him. This marks the genesis of a life of purpose,
impact, blessing, joy, righteousness and peace, which is qualified to reign
with God in eternity. According to Apostle Paul, if all our hope lies solely in
this world, we become most miserable of all men. Hence, I pray nothing cut short
your life while you live out God’s plan for your life, until the time appointed
for you to transit into your glorious habitation in heaven above, in Jesus name.
