And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself." - John 12:32
There was no perfect redemption until Jesus went out of His way to become the Way to eternal life. His lifting on the cross was a giant step in the right direction that championed the raising of many spiritual giants for the expansion of God's kingdom. So had Jesus chosen to escape from tasting  death and enduring the agony of the Cross, then His mission to become the ultimate Redeemer would have been aborted
The lifting of Jesus on the Cross brought about the mockery of the King of glory but was purposed on the ultimate intent to grant us access to God's palace when we knock the door of salvation. Because through the blood of Jesus, redemption from sin is no longer a tall order but the surest provision to getting every believing soul in a matching order to enter into God's court.
When Jesus said if I be lifted up, I will draw men to myself, He gave the evidence of His readiness to liberate as many who will honour His invite for eternal salvation. His willingness to draw men unto Himself without racial discrimination speaks volumes about His passion to rake in global harvest of souls across jurisdictions. So it will be a highly regrettable flaw if you keep God at arm's length and refuse to allow Him draw you from the devil's trap. Unless you defect from the camp of the devil, you cannot be acclaimed a champion with undeniable track record of victory over the devil and his companions. As you honour God's invite today, may your life emerge on the radar for an experience of unlimited lifting above sin and sorrow in Jesus name
