THE CRUCIBLES OF A CHRISTIAN SOLDIER
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted - 2 Tim. 3:12
Anyone who desires to be a Christian soldier must be ready to square to up to PERSECUTIONS. The persecution of a Christian soldier is not intended to take the starch out of him but rather to bring him to stardom as a refined vessel unto honour. When he goes through the fire of affliction with God's presence abiding with him, he becomes a divine point man ordained to encourage those that are being afflicted.
Another crucible (or challenge) which a Christian soldier experiences is the PRESSURE TO GRATIFY THE FLESH. The devil felt Jesus could be vulnerable to the lust of the flesh when he tempted Jesus to turn stones to bread. The devil wanted to hoodwink Jesus into nourishing and refreshing himself in order to establish grounds for misplaced priority and disloyalty to God's living word. However, Jesus balked at the devil's proposal, which made the devil to be red in the face. Hence, know that whenever the devil loses the fight to pressurize you into trading off your divine identity for ungodly pleasure, it hits him blow the belt.
Most Christians want microwave miracles, thereby exhibiting unwillingness to wait for God's salvation. However, a Christian soldier with a strong spiritual bent is eager to demonstrate PATIENCE IN HOPE, while resting on the assurance that God is faithful to keep faith with His people. Abraham had to contend with the crucible of waiting for a promise that bore the stamp of generational impact. He was able to weather the storm of doubt and unbeliever because he made the Lord God his everlasting anchor, who enabled him to keep hope alive. Are you going through a trying time? God will keep you from falling, fainting and fretting in the face of the challenges that you might be going through in Jesus name.
