"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! - Luke 15:17
Living to gratify the flesh at the expense of edifying your spirit-man wouldn't endorse you as a child of God. Consorting with the friends of the world makes you poles apart from reaching forth to the goodness of God, which makes rich and adds no sorrow. While keeping company with associates of worldliness may be accompanied with enticing pleasure, know that it will certainly land you on the flip side of eternal life, if you choose not to repent.
The prodigal son who experienced a transition from living a prodigal life to becoming a peculiar candidate of eternal life examined himself. Until you conduct a sincere SELF EXAMINATION of your present state, you will not come to know you are off the track, if you are not living a life pleasing unto God. The prodigal son went further and resolved in his heart to return to his father's state of the art habitation where he had all things to eat, drink and to spare. HIS SELF DETERMINATION, which must have been inspired by God, helped him to retrace his steps to seek his father and start again on a clean slate.
Do you know that the window is still open for you to make amends and turn over a new leaf lest you allow your opportunity to wither on the vine? In true SURRENDEREDNESS and SUBMISSION to his father, the prodigal SON found grace. Hence, don't wait for the last call before you surrender your heart to Jesus. If you ask the prodigal son, he will certainly tell you that living a prodigal life is doing yourself an eternal disservice which will cause you to serve your term in eternal torment. As you yield your heart to surrender your life to Jesus, may you experience eternal life and all round victory which no man can give in Jesus name. Happy April 2017
