"He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam which he has sinned and made Israel to sin." - I Kings 14:16
Jeroboam was a very diligent officer who served King Solomon. When the king was no longer faithful to God, God made up his mind to divide the kingdom of Israel. A prophet of the Lord told Jeroboam that he would reign over a portion of the divided kingdom.
However, Jeroboam thought of helping God to actualise his reign over the allotted portion of Israel. In the end, he caused the people to sin against God.
Are you are causing others to sin by reason of your position? Are you using your position to advance righteousness and holiness? Has your impatience led you to sin against God? Reconcile with God today and make amends. May you neither be a stumbling block to the salvation of others nor to the blessings of God for your life in Jesus name. Amen.
