BEAUTY FOR ASHES

“…to give them beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…” – Isaiah 61:3

Everything created by God was certified and acclaimed as beautiful. The handiwork of God is a complete demonstration of His creativity, awesomeness and perfection. It was on this backdrop that the Psalmist ascribed praise to God upon realizing that he was fearfully and wonderfully made. Likewise you need to understand that your life is a complete demonstration of the beauty of God. How? You were created in the image of God.

Instead of radiating the beauty of God, many are carriers of ashes. Anything that devalues the beauty of God in your life represents ashes. The devil instigated and tempted man to trade his beauty for ashes. When man realized he was naked having eaten the forbidden fruit, he realized too late that the devil had scammed and short-changed him of God’s beauty.

You cannot fulfill the plan of God for your life if you are overshadowed by ashes. This is because ashes are corruptible and deadly virus that devalue and destruct the divine image that was given to man upfront at creation. However, because Jesus reigns on high, He will give you beauty for ashes. Until God stops the flow of ashes in your life, you will never be able to overflow with the beauty of God. I pray God decorate you with beauty and wipe away every form of ashes in your life in Jesus name. Amen.
