ENDURING FOUNDATION

For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words and does them...He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock and when flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock – Luke 6:47-48

Laying a solid foundation is inseparable from building a life of success and fulfilment. Success thrives on the platform of a solid and enduring foundation. A faulty foundation undermines the achievement of an enduring and successful life. When you build your career, life pursuit or relationship with God on a faulty foundation, tough times will make all your effort to go down the drain. No faulty foundation stands the times of adversity, severe difficulty and harsh atmospheric pressure.

The reason why many have chosen to withdrawn from the race of life, pursuit of righteousness or enviable aspiration is because they did not deem it fit to lay the solid foundation of faith, self-discipline, sacrificial living, holiness and commitment to God. Aside from these, while building towards the achievement of a dizzy heights of success, they allow distractions, which make them to keep their eyes off the ball. Such distractions make them misalign and misarrange the foundation blocks for a glorious and successful life.

Most importantly, the word of God gives you the sure and firm blocks to build an enduring foundation that can stand the test of time and withstand the force and invasion of storms. When your foundation is faulty, the devil does not expend his full strength to cause a crack in your desired edifice. What kept Joseph going in the face of stern adversity and temptation was his foundation in the Lord accomplished by his knowledge of the word of the Lord and his faith in the fidelity of the Lord to fulfil His promise.

To build an enduring foundation, embrace the word of God and pursue righteousness, self-denial, diligence and faith to enable you keep your eyes on the ball and also to finish strong. May the Lord visit whosoever weak foundation that may be in your life and give you the strength to build a successful and glorious life in Jesus name.
