PEACE OF MIND

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind is stayed on You because he commits himself to You – Isaiah 26:3

There is a conscious and concerted global effort to create an atmosphere of peace in the face of the ravaging turbulence that has engrossed the face of the world. There are peace committees and other vital institutions with the mandate to create an enabling atmosphere that is void of insecurity. All these shouldn’t be seen as effort in futility. However, the surest means of living and experiencing an unending peaceful life is to come under the governance of the Prince of Peace.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace who runs an unstoppable government that cannot be over-thrown, intimated and unsettled. The Bible says that, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower and that the righteous runs into it and are safe” (Prov. 18:10). When you keep your eyes and fix your mind on the global economic crises, political instability and global unrest that have infiltrated the length and breadth of the world, your mind will be unsettled and troubled.

But when you keep your eyes on the Lord and engage His leadership, He will certainly lead you by the still waters while others under turbulence and unrest. The Bible says, “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayers and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God and the peace of God that transcends all human understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7).

Therefore, don’t allow the fear and doubt of what the future holds for you to crush you faith. With Jesus in your boat, you cannot be blown out of the purpose and plan of God for your life. Keep your mind on God and He will be mindful of you to establish your peace and prosper your ways. May the peace of God rest and abide with you and your household in Jesus name.
