JESUS, THE WONDERFUL

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given…and His name shall be called Wonderful… - Isaiah 9:6

The wonders of Jesus cannot be explained outside the scope of His birth, works, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension and second-coming. The life of Jesus can be summarized in one word: Wonderful. Everything about Jesus is a demonstration of wonders. Our understanding of what constitutes wonders is made fruitful and easy through the lifestyle, mission and personality of Jesus.

The conception and birth of Jesus was supernatural. He wasn’t one of the fallen angels who were thrown down from heaven to the earth. He was preoccupied with His mission to destroy the works of the devil. Therefore, within the window of opportunity He had, He went about doing wonders with the word of His power. His crucifixion was accompanied with great wonders: earthquake, splitting of the temple veil and many others.

In fulfillment of His assurance to His disciples about His resurrection, the power of the Highest quickened Him up and raised Him from death. Death couldn’t hold Him back. Other kings of the Jews that existed before Him died and saw corruption. But Jesus, being the King of kings, resurrected from the death to give us a lively hope lest we would have been most miserable of all men. Subsequent to His resurrection, He ascended into His heavenly abode in the sight of His disciples while they were comforted of His second coming by angelic visitation. His second coming is imminent. It will be preceded by the rapturing of the saints.

In the light of the revelation of the wonderful peculiarity of Jesus, may your life, ministry, career, work, marriage and family begin to radiate the wonders of Christ in Jesus amen. Merry Christmas!!!
